Introduction

You may change the look and feel of many of the component of the Intellipeer Home Portal.  Such customizations include the border colors, background colors, and table styles, as well as the page layout.  These are Styles.  In addition, you may add or remove which major components you want accessible for your site (such as the photo gallery, message boards, news, and media area.  These features are Elements.  Changes to both styles and elements are global to all users of the site.

Styles

To change the layout, login as an administrator to your site.  Click the "Customize" menu to bring up the customization page.

Select the changes you wish to make, and click "Done".  This will apply the changes immediately to the site.  Some features (such as the background colors) you can preview before the changes take effect. 

Elements

Elements require confirmation before the changes are made.  Making element changes "turns off" features; it will not remove any content.  You may reactivate those elements at any time without losing any information.
